Shenandoah National Park

Shenandoah National Park is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. The park is long and narrow, extending from Interstate 64 in the south to the city of Front Royal at its northern end. Skyline Drive, an extension of the Blue Ridge Parkway, is a 105 mile scenic road that runs the length of the Park. There are 70 overlooks along its length that provide panoramic views of the Shenandoah Valley and River to the west and the Virginia Piedmont to the east. The highest point in the park is the summit of Hawksbill Mountain at 4,050 feet.
