John F. Kennedy Space Center
In November of 1963, President Lyndon Johnson designated the facilities of the Launch Operations Center and Station No. 1 of the Atlantic Missile Range as the John F. Kennedy Space Center. Soon after, construction began on the Launch Complex 39 facilities which include the Launch Control Center, Pads A & B, and the huge hangar now known as the Vehicle Assembly Building. Since then, Kennedy Space Center has launched men to the moon, hundreds of scientific and commercial spacecraft, and all of the Space Shuttle missions. This is a tour of Kennedy Space Center that I took in 1999.
